Kevin Postma holds a BS in botany from Miami University (Ohio) and an MA in curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mississippi. Mr. Postma joined the Manistee High School staff the fall of 2001 and teaches Physical Science, Physics, and Environmental Science. Prior to MHS, he taught for two years in Greenville, Mississippi and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras, Central America.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Postma has helped coach the MHS Science Olympiad Team. Helping to coach the team to a 2005 Class B State Championship ranks as one of his proudest moments as a teacher and coach.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Postma enjoys spending time with his spouse, Kate Thomson, and their two little girls, Cecilia and Solana. As a family we enjoy outdoor activities such as biking, running, catching insects, gardening, and playing at the beach.
