Tom Northrup moved to Manistee in January of 1988, when he accepted his first teaching position in the Manistee High School Science Department. Tom had a dual citizenship in Michigan and Florida, and started his collegiate career at the University of Florida. He finished his college education at Central Michigan University with a degree in Business Administration, major in Accounting, and teaching certification in Science and Mathematics. During his association with Manistee Public Schools, Tom has taught Chemistry I, Physics I, Biology I, Explorations in Biology, and Geometry.
