In August of 1998, Mr. Marfia graduated from Central Michigan University with a Social Studies Major and a History Minor.  He taught four years at Fennville Middle School, while coaching football, basketball, and track.  In 2001, Mr. Marfia completed his Masters in School Administration and Community Leadership.  In 2002, after marrying his wife, Rebecca, Paul took a job at Durand High School. In Durand while teaching US History and World History, he coached Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball, and Varsity Track. Mr. Marfia began teaching at MAPS the Fall of 2004.  At Manistee, Mr. Marfia will be teaching Sports Officiating, World War II and Economics. While at Manistee, Coach Marfia has coached freshman girls' basketball and Varsity Track.  He is currently the Varsity Boys Basketball coach. His wife is an Art and Spanish teacher at Mason County Eastern Schools. Their first child, Isabel Annalise Marfia was born in October of 2006. Their second child Madison Nicole Marfia was born January of 2008.
