Rhonda ErbelRhonda Erbel teaches the Visual Arts at Manistee High School and is currently teaching Art I through Art VI, grades 9-12. Prior to her arrival at MHS she taught Elementary Art at Manistee Area Public Schools, and K-12 Visual Arts and 9-12 Theatre Arts at Baldwin Community Public Schools. For two years she worked with the Manistee Intermediate School in conjunction with Michigan’s Very Special Arts and a John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts grant. Before her teaching experience, Mrs. Erbel spent ten years in the business world. Rhonda hails from Rochester, New York, where she earned a speciality degree in Studio Arts at Roberts Wesleyan college with a major in Ceramics and a minor in Drawing and Painting. She received her teaching certificate in Art K-12 and English 9-12 from Central Michigan University. She is in continued study to obtain an MA in English Composition through CMU. Mrs. Erbel is an active member of the Manistee Art Institute, and has shown her own 2-D and 3-D art works both in Michigan and New York. Her classroom exhibits can be found in various showcases throughout the building, as well as in the art room itself.
