I began my teaching career for MAPS in 1995. That first year I taught elementary physical
education and middle school health/PE.
From 1996 – 2005 I taught health and physical education at MMS. In 2005 I moved to MHS as a teacher and class
advisor for the class of 2010. In the
past I have coached MMS basketball and track and JV girls’ basketball and
soccer.
My educational process includes a degree from Muskegon
Community College followed with a Sports Medicine degree from CMU. After nine years in that field I returned to
school to get my teaching certificate from EMU and then a Master’s in
Educational Leadership from GVSU. My
husband Sam and I have two sons, Mason and Caleb. My hobbies include spending time with family,
running, tennis, reading and any day at the beach is a great day!
